the first 4D film was Captain EO (1986), at Epcot, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disneyland. Captain EO is a 4 D film starring Michael Jackson and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. He came up with the name, "Captain EO", (from the Greek, cf. "Eos", the Greek goddess of dawn) that was shown at Disney theme parks 4 D theater from 1986 through the 1990s. The attraction returned to the Disney theme parks 4 D theater in 2010.
